Well, now that you've gone out of your way unprompted to say that, I'm starting to feel a little worried...
( it's just maybe a little bit sus, luchino??
but dante is in quite a predicament, and they don't want to task it to the sinners or vergilius, so... they might as well believe in the good will of a stranger. )
Well... I won't say that I'm not afraid, but. I'm not going to let it stop me.
i simply find it necessary to be brave in the face of uncertainties. with limited direction and lack of precedents, one can't shy away from what's necessary to find the truth.
so.
i think it's natural to be a little worried regardless. i would be more intrigued if you didn't show any skepticism.
i live in a manor along with others of... i suppose, unique characteristics, off the beaten path. one can only find it if invited and usually by the owner of the residence.
so i don't know how feasible it would be for you to come here. i should probably be the one to somehow make my way to you.
[ this is a no judgement zone. no one receives unjust and biased opinions.
as he looks at his luchino-sized phone, he realizes how... close it actually is??? huh. weird. thanks panfandom rp. ]
you'll see me sooner than you think.
[ is that a threat or a promise? either way, luchino is on his way. out of the manor he goes and without any real problems--- leaps his way to that bus and lands right beside it once his phone gives him the proper notification.
yeah he probably looks pretty monstrous but also? look at how comfy he is... ]
( dante really doesn't have all that much time to respond. they think to do so, leisurely, but before they know it, they're not alone in this abandoned lot where they had parked mephistopheles. luchino's arrival is so sudden and so vertical, directly from above, that dante lets out a short, loud whistle not unlike the steam engine of a train before they turn to fix their clock-faced stare upon him.
he's...
they have no idea what he is. is he a Distortion? that has to be the only real explanation, other than an Abnormality, though he doesn't really seem to have the vibe of either, given their recent experience with both...?
as threatening as he might have seemed, however... he does look cozy. not necessarily how dante would expect someone might leave their mansion to hurt someone for no reason. so they hope that's a good sign?
they begin to tick-tock a greeting to the stranger before realizing the uselessness of it. this isn't one of their sinners. so instead they lift up their phone again, tapping out a message that they send. )
That was quick!
( they look back up to luchino, lapse into a momentary silence, and then look back down to follow up to that: )
[ one thing that he quickly notices is that there's no way he could board this bus without feeling cramped... it's big, but not Luchino big. there is a difference. same reason why only one of the hunters could probably get on without an issue, and even the child 'axe boy' rivals most average sized humans.
...
and the second thing he notices is dante. ]
Ah.
[ okay. well. he sees what he's working with. roughly 90% of them appear humanish. the rest is clearly not a costume. it's not some kind of weird magical act or robotic--- but mechanical. yes.
he blinks a few times before he looks down at his phone. ]
Yes, that I am. Do you mind if I continue to speak like this? Or would you rather I go back to text?
[ rather be polite than assume. that's just the kind of man luchino is. ]
( they might be able to fit luchino aboard, but... it would certainly be a tight squeeze. it's probably best if he remains outside. vergilius, faust, and charon would not appreciate any undue or accidental damage to mephistopheles...
at the stranger's question, dante waves their hands wildly as if to say, "no, of course not!" they also excitably tick-tock this out, but of course it's not going to mean much to luchino, given that he's not connected to them as a sinner.
just to make sure they're not misunderstood, dante texts back quickly: )
No, you're fine! It's just that I can't speak to others in person normally... So I hope you don't mind me continuing to text.
( now, the longer that they looks at this guy...
...the more daunted they get. are they really going to allow this huge scaly to pick them up by the ankle and shake them until all the alcohol leaks out of their head?? what did they agree to! )
[ there's something oddly peaceful about the ticking and tocking that comes from dante's... head? face? it's obvious they're trying to communicate in some way but are unable to in this state. interesting. maybe if luchino has some time on his hands, he can see exactly what makes this... erm, person work?
the reptilian nods. right. he doesn't mind referring to his phone now and then. besides, a little bit of charades can also work in a pinch. ]
Not at all. I'm sure you can let me know if you're having issues.
[ as he smiles, he pockets his phone. no need for it now. approaching dante, the first thing luchino notices is that he is definitely larger in all ways. the head is the obvious and most distinct feature, and he can see those holes where the liquid must've been inserted. ]
So. Climb into my arms and we will start the process.
[ lowering down, he's basically... on one knee......... not proposing.................
( dante would really prefer strangers not mess around with the inner workings of their head, please and thanks... especially when it's attached to their body.
they nod, as if to demonstrate. yes, whatever answers they can make with body language, they will do their best! they've already been having to learn to communicate like this with the non-sinner members of their team in the Company.
luchino is definitely intimidating to be up close to. the reptilian is tall, towering over dante — hell, they believe he would tower over any of the sinners as well. they try to resist the natural urge to shudder. but he seems to be making good on his offer to try to help them with their little problem, so when he gives the instruction and lowers down onto one knee...
(dante almost flusters a bit............ unless......????????)
they pause for a moment before nodding, stepping forward and allowing luchino to gather them up in his arms however he feels is best for what it is he's planning.
oh god... they're starting to feel like this is a really bad idea, now that's actually happening... )
[ is he really that intimidating... look into your heart and see that luchino only delivers peace and love to all that he encounters! except for the survivors, but even then he's only 'evil' when in one of the manor's various games. considering that he is and will always be a scientist first, a researcher with an inquisitive soul, he'll never deliberately put anyone at risk other than himself.
he is the best specimen, after all!
but luchino hums to himself, tongue slithering out to instinctively taste the air before standing up straight. dante won't be an issue; their weight is negligible. it shouldn't impact how far he goes into the sky, nor how hard he falls. normally that second part wouldn't be a big deal, but he's not in the environment where he should be slamming the opposite side into the ground.
unless....... dante wants it.............. :3c
anyway. ]
Hold on tight.
[ because luchino will be doing the same, but it helps if they both support one another. as soon as he speaks, he bears down onto his haunches and legs before bounding up into the air.
there will be a moment of weightlessness, at least. we can just call it evil reptilian physics. ]
( dante is sure this mysterious reptilian man is perfectly lovely, but... knowing that doesn't really entirely quell the trembles of fear and uncertainty that suddenly standing before such a tall and imposing individual can instill in someone!
but he has offered his help, and dante doesn't... think he's lying? it's going forward in this good faith that has allowed them to even get this far.
now, luchino does not need to tell dante to hold on tight. as they are lifted into the air, they are already clutching onto the man with the white-knuckled fervor of a drowning man. they have the bizarre and uncomfortable sensation of feeling sick to their stomach without even being a type of creature that eats, and they are actively thinking about saying, "you know what, actually, fuck this" and trying to get the stranger to put them back down on the ground when he he bends his knees, stores up strength in his powerful legs, and springs them both up into the air.
dante screams. there are no Sinners around to hear it, though, so it only really comes out audibly as a high-pitched whistling sound, though perhaps one made a little muffled by the sound of liquid sloshing.
they have a slight moment of weightlessness before they begin to plummet to the ground. that's actually the worst part of this. vertigo swims in dante's gut, sloshes in their overly-weighted head, and when they actually do hit the ground... luchino was right. a decent amount of liquid keeps plummeting even as their interlocking arms arrest dante's downward movement, causing the alcohol to leak out of the various holes and seams in the prosthetic.
horrible... absolutely horrible... it's probably the closest they can get to being physically sick.
and the worst part is that they know they're probably going to have to do this again, because this jump didn't get all of it out. )
[ frankly, if dante was able to forcibly expel whatever fluids that had been keeping them what luchino would assume is the 'normal' equivalent of congested, then... they wouldn't be in this predicament! also, it wouldn't be as fun? luchino assumes that whistling noise is not being made out of enjoyment, but a scholar that assumes is living a dangerous life, and luchino is currently living his best one. so!
once they land with a solid thump, the evil reptilian stretches by standing up as tall as he possibly can. normally with a hunch, it takes a little more effort to get his entire back straightened--- which also has the added benefit of making him a foot and several inches taller. the other one is that as he does so, he pulls dante closer into his chest, where the shirt is normally open and his prominent cleave is in full display.
(for someone to appreciate, probably) ]
I have a feeling you might not survive another one of those, and even less so if I held you with your head pointed towards the ground this next time.
[ a comment made in partial jest and partial curiosity. ]
But it seems you are lighter, if only by ounces. Perhaps there is a more elegant way to remove whatever is left inside of you without causing you any more stress.
[ he pores over those places where he can see drips and drops, the glistening of alcohol off of any light. ]

i see. it's only a problem if you feel that it might be. i'm not some kind of monster. i'm proud of my accomplishments.
[ as long as no one does him harm, he is a friendly sort. sorry to all those he's sent back to the manor time and time again. ]
even if the original plan doesn't work, i'm sure we can figure something else out. you're not afraid, are you?

We can't allow fear to stop us. Especially not from finding solutions to problems.
Um...
So if I am willing to accept your help in solving this problem...
Where should I meet you?

That certainly sounds... unique.
( considering the fact that they basically live on a bus that eats people, do they really have room to judge? )
I'm in District 11, if you know how to make your way there.
I believe I can share my location...
